The Holy Trinity of AI Excellence
95% of AI pilots fail, almost always on adoption rather than technology (MIT, 2025)source 1MIT NANDA, The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025mlq.ai. Motion Delta is on a mission to close that gap: we don't just build AI, we make sure people actually use it.

01
build the right thing
The most expensive AI mistakes are decided before a line of code is written. Thinking is hard, but it's cheap.
Strategic discovery
Strategic discovery is a short, fixed phase that defines what to build, for whom and how success is measured, so budget never goes to the wrong product. Start at the end: define what a successful outcome of your project looks like. Get a clear picture of the project's objectives, and the organisation's objectives they need to align with. Set up a system to measure success.
Study the people who will use the product: what does their workflow look like today? What are they trying to achieve? What do they need? Then aim your project at the goals where the organisation and its users overlap.
-
02
build to last
If the product doesn't integrate with existing workflows, users will turn to tools that do, compliant or not.
Past & future proof AI
Past & future proof AI is an architecture principle: fit the systems and rules you run today, and stay ready for the models of tomorrow. Start from what exists: integrate into systems already running, honour existing rules on privacy and compliance, and fit the way teams work today. AI that demands a reorganisation gets rejected. Make it feel native, and it gets used.
Today's revolutionary AI model will be boomer tech in a month, so implement a model-agnostic architecture. Build for scale on both axes: more usage without degrading, more volume without painful financial surprises.
-
03
build for humans
People don't adopt AI because it's technically impressive. People adopt what makes their life easier.
Adoption by design
Adoption by design means treating daily use as a requirement from the first week, not a polish step before launch. Start with the humans: drag them into the project from the beginning. Put prototypes in their hands, and shape the interface around their real work. Apply human-centred design principles as a requirement, not a final polish.
If the product needs a manual, you've failed. Done right, the AI disappears into the product. Users just notice things move faster, their work becomes less tedious, less stressful. Create AI products that people love to use.

Frequently asked questions
-
Why do most AI pilots fail?
Almost always on adoption, not technology. MIT's 2025 State of AI in Business studysource 1MIT NANDA, The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025mlq.ai put the failure rate at 95%: a pilot proves the model works, production requires people to change how they work. Our methodology treats adoption as a requirement from the first day.
-
How long does an AI project take?
Scoping takes two to three weeks and ends with a shortlist you can defend. A first working version on your real data follows in weeks. Production hardening depends on how many systems the build touches, and you get that estimate before we start building.
-
How much does an AI project cost?
Scoping is a fixed, small engagement, so you know early whether the idea deserves a budget. Build cost depends on the shortlist that comes out of it, and you approve the estimate before any build starts.
-
Do you work with our in-house team?
Yes. We build alongside your developers and hand over a system they can run: documented and tested, with monitoring in place. The goal is that you own it after launch.
-
What happens after launch?
We monitor quality against the evaluations set during the build, and models get re-checked as your data changes. You decide whether maintenance stays with us or moves in-house.
